
Outlander Season 3:After depicting the scenarios of Dragonfly in Amber in the second installment of Outlander, the showrunners are now gearing up for the production of Outlander Season 3 which will be based on thethird novel in the book series called Voyager. The television drama series got renewed for its third and fourth installments on June 1, 2016, by Starz, and this time the makers of the show are expected to add some more potency to the plot line.
Outlander Season 3 is going to emphasize largely on Jamie’s character and whatever he went through in his past. This news got highlighted when Caitriona Balfe who essays Claire Fraser on the show spoke about it in an exclusive interview with The Wrap. And not only that, as she also disclosed that the fans will get to witness Claire as a professional surgeon in the upcoming installment.
We have already seen Claire travelinginto the past where she encountered Jamie and eventually ended up marrying him and how they both got separated from each other in the previous season. But they might reunite with each other in Outlander Season3 as Balfe further hinted about it in her interview by stating:“Of course, there will be a reunion, which I think is really beautiful and it’s been filmed really beautifully.”
The viewers are going to witness some new addition to the star cast of Outlander Season 3 as Den of Geek pointed out that Tanya Reynolds and Hannah James got roped in by the showrunners for playing Geneva and Isobel Dunsany. And on theother hand, Gary Young will be seen depicting the character ofMr. Willoughby and Charlie Hiett is going to portray Captain Thomas Leonard on the show. And not only that as the makers of Outlander have also selected Lauren Lyle who will be depicting the character of youngMarsali.
The release date for Outlander Season3 has not been officially rolled out by the network or the showrunners but with the addition of such promising actors as well as a possible reunion of Jamie and Claire, the upcoming season is surely going to be quite engaging as usual.
