The filming of “Outlander Season 3 has already begun, and as per the news Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe has recently recommenced production for Starz time traveler series’ upcoming season. Drool worthy and fan favorite character Lord John Grey, along with few new characters will be joining the series. Now the question is will Charlie Hunnam play the role?

Outlander season 3 spoilers disclose that the casting of the adult Lord John Grey’s role is already in progress or have been carried out, and Starz drama fans are already assuming the actor to play the role.
Outlander Season 3 will be based on “Voyager”, the third book of Diana Gabaldon, in which the adult version of Lord John Grey would be seen. People who have read the book are already aware of the fact that Lord John has feelings for Jamie and he is a closeted gay man.
The publication, which was mentioned beforehand, indicated that Charlie Hunnam would probably play the role in “Outlander” Season 3. Hunnam is best known for his role in the FX series, “Sons of Anarchy” as Jax Teller.
However, Carter Matt has reported on Sam Heughan’s recent update of the upcoming season’s production. And the official Outlander Season 3 casting news on Lord John is yet to come from the producers and network.
Heughan earlier joked that the older version of his character is required to look fat as it is his most awaited reunion with Claire (Caitriona Balfe). The Scottish actor also teased looking at the behind the scenes photos of the older version of Jamie (Sam Heughan).

Update- As per recent reports, Starz has finally found the actor who would be playing the crucial role of Lord John Grey in the third season of Outlander, which would premiere in 2017. Australian actor David Berry will take over as Lord John Grey. The story-line of the third season of Outlander will be based on Voyager, which is the the third novel in Diana Gabaldon’s best selling series that was published in 1993.
Right after Claire travels through the stones to return back to her life in 1948 the third season will pick up. Pregnant Claire slogs with the adverse affect of her sudden reappearance and it affects her marriage to her first husband Frank back in the 18th century.
