OK Jaanu Review: Another clich romantic drama is on the verge of getting released. OK Jaanu has a hit star cast of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor who came to limelight with their debut musical drama Aashiqui 2. The film was a big hit, and since then they failed to make any impact on the Bollywood. There is no doubt the star kids got too many movies (thanks to the parents and family) but hardly made any impact. Aditya is such a disappointment and Shraddha struggled hard to make her presence feel. OK Jaanu is releasing on 13th January and I doubt whether anyone is bothered about it!

OK Jaanu Plot

Based on the plot of O Kadhal Kanmani By Mani Ratnam, this remake is unexpectedly coming out of those names who rule the Bollywood and known for the best of Indian movie industry. Mani Ratnam, Karan Johar, A. R. Rahman the awe-inspiring names unbelievably made OK Jaanu, where nothing the plot is a stale one, music is bad and acting is awful. It is the story of Adi and Tara, the two youngsters who come to Mumbai to make it big in their desired field try on a casual relation that will change their present and future forever, and will bore the audience like hell! There is a parallel story of Gopi Shrivastav (Naseeruddin Shah) and Charulata (Leela Samson) who will rent this love bird a room and these two finest actors got almost no chance to showcase themselves, thanks to the director!

OK Jaanu Review

OK Jaanu is less than an average film that got nothing to talk or write about. There was a huge expectation from the music director, the renowned A.R. Rahman, but the director failed to get the best out of him too. The remix version of famous ‘Humma Humma’ got some attention, but the audience admitted that the original was far better. The dialogues too are annoying at times, and you will realise the director’s desperate attempt to recreate the Aashiqui 2 magic. The well-attempted plot that portrays today’s generation for whom love is an option and a lesser important matter in life when it comes in contrast with career and ambition. But ultimately the entire thing came up to by too typical and melodramatic.

OK Jaanu Rating

Ok Jaanu is less than an average film that will offer nothing new or interesting. So we are giving Ok Jaanu 3 out of 5 and that too being too generous. So if you don’t have anything to do in the coming weekend, you can go for it, if you can bear with the utter boredom!

OK Jaanu Box OfficeVerdict

Made with a budget of 40 Crores the movie will entertain the teenagers and the newly tied couple. And according to the prediction the movie has a chance to earn a satisfactory amount in the box office on the weekends and the amount it will gather within those days will decide its fate of business on the weekdays. XXX: Return of Xander Cage will be released on 13th January, the same day of Ok Jaanu and that is going to be a tough competition for the film. Now what happens to Ok Jaanu collection, we have to wait till 13th.
