
Nokia P1: Nokia hit a rough spot earlier last year when their Lumia line of devices was promptly discontinued due to the decreasing popularity of their Windows mobile Operating System and Microsoft acquired the company soon enough after that. Now,HMD Global, the Finnish company that owns the rights to use Nokia’s brand on smartphones is all set to launch all new smartphones at the forthcoming MWC 2017 event in Barcelona later this month. ,Nokia has already sent out media invites for an event on February 27, where it is expected to unveil a few more Android devices including the much talked about flagship offering, the Nokia P1.

The P1 has been a constant topic of discussion of late with tech enthusiasts racking their brains substantially in order to figure out what the upcoming android device from Nokia might offer. Now, latest leaked information pertaining to the Nokia P1 point at aconcept render which suggestall-metal design with minimum side bezels. With most smartphones inching towards sporting edge-to-edge displays, same can be said for the upcoming offering by Nokia. the render further goes on to show the company logo on both sides of the device as well as a triple LED flash for the rear camera paired with Carl Zeiss lens setup. Something which gives us quite a confirmed feeling that the P1 will be high-end on the optics front . Other spotted points were a rectangular home button which might most probably double up as a fingerprint scanner. The device sports volume rockers and power buttons on the right-hand side. Further, the render also shows the devicesport a USB Type-C port, with the 3.5mm audio jack sitting on the left and two small speakers on the right.
Earlier specifications revealed pertaining to the P1 point at a 5.3-inch IGZO display featuring a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating on top. The rear camera is supposed to sport a 24-megapixel sensor, an Ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and IP55/IP57 certifications. There were rumors which pointed to the device running on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. However, none of this has been confirmed as of yet and we will have to with it out to see what the company plans to incorporate inside the smartphone. Pegged to run on Android Nougat 7.0, the Nokia P1 is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
The Nokia P1 will undoubtedly feature in the forthcoming MWC event in Barcelona and a launch date of February 27 can more or less be confirmed as well. Although we are yet to have a clue as to when the device will be made available, we are sure that the company will provide us with further details soon after the P1 is unveiled.
