Nokia was once the reigning stalwart among smartphone companies, but the entry of the Android platform pushed the Finnish company towards a slow death. But in 2016 we heard something exciting- Nokia was gearing up to make their way back into the smartphone business with a bang. With an Android device, no less. Though we have seen a few Android-based smartphones from the company already, one of the most talked about names in this category is the upcoming Nokia C1. Though not much is known about the new entry from Nokia, it is largely expected to set a bar as far as flagships go. This is in compliance with a new concept video that has surfaced recently, which apparently features the smartphone still in the works.

The concept video emerged on Chinese social networking site Weibo, as Android Headlines points out. According to the video, the Nokia C1 will feature a full metal and glass body along with a 5-inch Full HD display. The screen-to-body ratio will also be significantly checked. On the front face of the device, we can clearly see the secondary camera along with what appear to be dual speakers. The back panel is marked by a significantly large camera module which houses twin cameras (12 MP and 16 MP) along with an impressive flash unit. The power button, camera button, and volume rockers are placed on the sides, and the smartphone will also house a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with a USB Type-C port.

Coming to some of the key specs of the Nokia C1, the new video claims that the upcoming device will be powered by the Snapdragon 830 chipset, coupled with 4 GB of RAM and storage options of 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. It is expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. On the battery side, the new Nokia C1 will be backed by an impressive 3,210 mAh battery. The phone is also shown off in a number of colour options, including red, silver, and graphite. However, it is to be kept in mind that the video only depicts a concept image of the Nokia C1, so how many of these rather impressive specs will ultimately make their way into the actual device remains to be seen. Watch the video below and tell us what you think.
