Nissan Micra has left its strong footprints with some major breakthroughs in small car segment in Indian auto market. It has been two and half years when it came for the first time in the Indian market. Bettle shaped compact hatchback; Nissan Micra got a lotof applauses from the buyers.
The Japanese auto manufacturer decided to slash down the price of its automatic transmission variants by Rs. 54 thousand!
Experts are indicating towards extreme competition which might force Nissan to do it but according to the Nissan, the price cut is just a result of local sourcing in India.
As a part of the “Make in India” initiative, Nissan is manufacturing and assembling maximum parts their cars in India! They have gone in a joint venture with RenaultIndia and set up a plant to manufacture parts and almost all parts here in India except the engine which is being imported from Japan directly. And the local sourcing of parts and various components has lowered their cost of manufacturing, and the price cut is the result of that.
