New Toyota Fortuner to Be Launched in India in November

Japanese automaker Toyota is bringing the next-gen model of the Fortuner SUV in India by the end of this year, the first week of November to be precise. The current version of Fortuner has a huge impact in Indian auto market and is quite successful. A hardcore off-roader has not forgotten to keep the balance intact with enhanced visual characteristics and comfortable exterior. After conquering Thailand and the Philippines, now its ruling India too. Toyota Fortuner is a mid-sized SUV that is also known as the Toyota SW4.


The upcoming version of Toyota Fortuner is 90mm longer than its previous version. Large boxy headlights have been transformed with a new sleek style. The steering wheel will be a three-spoke assembly and behind it, there will be a sit revised and futuristic instrument cluster. The makers have ensured that the interior of the car gets a new and fresh look. It will possibly get a dual tone interior, with a sharper dashboard. On the centre, the console will fit a new touchscreen multimedia system, which will offer all forms of connectivity for multiple media platforms. The five seater car can be increased to a seven seater with a third row of seats on offer.

The car is launching with a set of two diesel engines. The 2.4-litre unit is capable of producing 148Bhp along with 200Nm of peak torque, while the other will be a 2.8-litre unit producing 175Bhp along with 450Nm of peak torque. Manual and automatic transmission unit will be on offer for both the units.

Toyota Fortuner will be available at INR 25lakh (ex-showroom) and go upto INR 30lakh (ex-showroom) for the top of the line variant. The main competitor the car is going to face Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift. The car will be available in few interesting colours like Attitude Black, Bronze Mica Metallic, Grey Metallic, Super White, Silky Gold Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic and Pearl White.
