Skoda’s new Rapid sedan is set to launch on November 3, 2016. The facelifted new version of this sedan is ready to invade the automobile industry of India this festive season. The booking has already started for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Rapid’s journey is quite old as it was first launched way back in 2012. but this time the new version of Skoda Rapid is coming with a unique similarity with the Octavia (according to some). Skoda Rapid Engine
The facelifted Skoda Rapid will get the 110hp 1.5-litre diesel engine with a slightly larger turbocharger. The engine sees a bump in power with a help of heavy localization. This engine type is very much in demand and recently made a debut in the Ameo compact sedan and will be seen in the Volkswagen Vento soon. The other version of the engine on the upcoming Rapid will be a 1.6-litre petrol. Transmission choices will include a five-speed manual for both petrol and diesel variants and a seven-speed DSG automatic for the diesel unit will add the needed upliftment. With 21.7 km mileage, the car will definitely win hearts of its buyers.
Skoda Rapid Interior and Exterior
An angular styling upfront with new front bumper and chin is going to be the highlights of this new version. The squarer headlamps, grille, and lower bumper are some of the additional features of Skoda Rapid. The refreshed Rapid to sport a mildly tweaked dashboard along with a larger touch screen infotainment system on the inside.
