One of the new features that we are expecting in the next generation iOS platform is a dedicated SmartHome app that will help users to use Apple’s HomeKit platform in a much better way. Many devices support Apple’s HomeKit platform but handling the platform is a challenge and in most cases users have to use different app for different electrical appliances. With the new HomeKit app users will be able to operate all the home appliances with the help of this single app.
However, there has been no official confirmation whether this app will be integrated in the next generation platform or not. Therefore, it might or might not be integrated or it might appear a bit late than expected. Last year Apple has submitted a trademark specially for the HomeKit app’s icon, so there are chances that iOS10 will come with a dedicated HomeKit app. Integrating this app will definitely give iOS platform an equal stand along with its competitor.
