The winner of several awards as the best director including Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director Neeraj Pandey comes up with a hilarious yet light comic short film Ouch. After the praiseworthy success of the movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, there was no doubt that this short film will attract the viewers’ attention. The short film uploaded by LargeShortFilms, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Pooja Chopra has the right amount of laughter balanced with stark reality.

The short film Ouch deals with the decision of two married people who plans to take the right decision in regards to their affair. Even though the climax seems a bit predictable, the short film manages to put forward the message which it intends to.One of the most talented actors Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of a man named Vinay, who is in a relationship with a married woman Priya played by Pooja Chopra who plays the love interest.The pair decides to leave their respective partner to live a future together. However, Priya backs out at the last minute as the entire morality button is turned on inside her. The hilarious moment of the short film Ouch is where Vinay confidently asks for divorce from his wife and finds out that her mistress backs out at the last moment.According to their plan, they meet at their place of rendezvous, and the ‘Ouch’ is what happens when Priya claims that she cannot break all ties with her husband, Rakesh. Neeraj Panday shows the moral side through Pooja Chopra perfectly.

It is very rare when we get to see such serious topics in Bollywood films under the light of humour. The reality of extramarital affair has been shown in many films, but the fact that such issue is coated with humour is a new thing. Thus, watching Neeraj Pandey’s short film Ouch starring Manoj Bajpayee is indeed a treat for all. The dilemma of a man facing the shock of his life, where he is in a state of turmoil as he has already asked for a divorce from his wife is extremelyfunny and painfully real. Therefore, this short film is a must watch for all those looking for dark comedy.
