
Indian IT firm NASSCOM has joined hands with Facebook and signed MoU to help in growth of entrepreneurs in context of problem solving and solution providers. The initiative was taken in Silicon Valley in which both the companies signed so as to provide innovative procedures regarding solution building and propel thinking. Also usage of technology will help in transforming roles in key sectors.
NASSCOM President, R Chandrashekhar,“This is a joint initiative to catalyse the innovation ecosystem and to help design thinking. Today, we are at an infliction point where the industry is at the next phase of revolution and moving towards the whole startup and innovation part, which is coming on the heels of the two decades old of the growth of the services company.
The sole motto is to influence young entrepreneurs to focus in production design and better problem solving and solution providers. In fact higher authorities of Facebook stated that the company is focusing on Product Design ecosystem. Also, fulfilling skilled designers’ need along with better tools would help in production in more efficient manner.

Chandrashekhar opined that, “When we are looking at these product companies, design becomes very important. The MoU is intended to help develop this ecosystem and bring in the design thinking… The idea is to ensure that at least 500 plus product start-ups get enabled tools programs, more than 5,000 design thinking professionals to get paid and at least 50 or more award winning product should come out of this whole initiative.”
On the other hand, words came from Facebook as the company ispassionate about design and would like to work alongside industry to foster innovation in product design in India, a country known for great technology and engineering talent.
According to Ravi Gururaj, Chairman to NASSCOM Product Council,“The Design Initiative will aim to build and diffuse a design culture across our ecosystem, link up with academia, recognise outstanding designs and overall ensure India’s software products delivery delightful customer experiences.The Product Council has been running design workshops and an annual design summit to create awareness on product design and its imperatives.
