My Hero Academia Season 2: The Japanese manga series was adapted for the television and premiered between April 3 to June 26, 2016. Illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi and serialised in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, the 11 volumes follow a boy born without superpower in a world having superpower is the norm. Viz Media was a licence for the released of the English-dubbed version of the anime. Ever since the first season concluded, there was a frenzy among royal fans to know if there was a second season in the making. Fortunately, it was soon announced that My Hero Academia Season 2 would premiere in April 2017.

The anime series was created by Bones, directed by Kenji Nagasaki, written by Yosuke Kuroda and the music composed by Yuki Hayashi. The North America the anime series was licensed by FUNimation and is currently available for streaming while in Australia the series has been licensed by Madman Entertainment.

While the manga itself was highly praised and primarily inspired by one of the post popular manga’s of all time – Naruto, the anime series, too had positive reception. Alex Osborn of IGN said: “The first season of My Hero Academia delivers thirteen episodes of fantastic action, elevated by a heartfelt story that’s wrapped around a core cast of memorable and relatable characters.” However, Osborn noted that the villains in the anime were underdeveloped.

My Hero Academia Season 2 Release Date

In December 2016, they streamed a second promotional video. Afterwards, the official website announced that the second season would premiere in April 2017, on television in Japan. The video has been set private now but as Anime News Network confirms, the anime will see some people returning. Besides the director, the series composition and scripts are done by Tousuke Kuroda, Yoshihiko Umakoshi will be the Character Designer and as well as the chief animation director. Yuuki will return as composer and Bones will be developing the series.
