Lenovo-acquired Motorola announced their new smartphones Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones in June. In a follow-up, the Moto Z Play was also expected to be launched around the same point of time according to rumours but sadly, for some Motorola enthusiasts, that did not happen. However, the good news for the same bunch of enthusiasts is that the Moto Z play is being rumoured to launch on the 6th of September and this time around, the rumours are stronger than last time.
Moto Z Play Rumoured Specifications:
The Moto Z Play is poised to include a 5.5-inch AMOLED display of 1080 x 1920 in resolution. Keeping the device powered will be Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 graphics, along with 3 GB of RAM. Leaked benchmarks suggest there will probably be a choice of 32 or 64 GB of on-board expandable storage. It will also, most certainly have a 3.5mm audio jack.
Sadly the smartphone will not pack in Android 7.0 Nougat, so after the expected launch on 6 September, owners will have to play the waiting game even with a brand new smartphone in hand with an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Camera and Battery Specifications:
The rear-facing shooter is expected to be a 16-megapixel offering, whilst selfie lovers will get a 5-megapixel snapper on the front of the device. The phone supports video shooting in the 4K format which is quite impressive in terms of quality. The Moto Z Play’s battery will likely fall somewhere between 3300 and 3510 mAh, which should comfortably see those upper-mid-range specs through a day’s unbridled usage.
Moto Z Play : How much will it cost and where to buy?
The Moto Z Play is scheduled to be available at a price of around $400 to $500 which makes it one notch cheaper than the Moto Z or the Moto Z Force. Post it’s launch which is expected to happen on September 6, the smartphone will most probably be available on online E-commerce platforms like Amazon.
