The Indian team has been engaged in an exciting conflict with the Australian team now for more than just a month. And it is expected to reach at its peak when they face off for the fourth and the final test match in Dharamsala. According to the latest news India might just get a boost as it has been reported that Mohammad Shami is looking all set for the comeback to the national squad after a long injury lay-off.
There have been ample talks going on across the media regarding the pitches that are prepared for the ongoing India vs Australia test match series. The Pune pitch has been condemned by many of the cricket experts as the ball turned on it right from the first day. Bengaluru was nothing different as it dished out a slow, low and turning pitch. However, the pitch in Ranchi has received many accolades for being sporting enough, and both the batsmen and the bowlers had a lot on the offering.
With the fourth test match all set to kick-off very shortly, the pitch is once again back in the headlines. Suggestions are there that the pitch might assist the pacers a bit more than the spinners. And this might just prompt India to play Mohammad Shami who has been in decent form of late. He played really well in the test match series against England in the middle of which he was sent to rehab due to some problem in his knee. He last took part in an international match when India played the third test match against England. And recently after gaining full fitness, he played a crucial role in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy where he picked up 4 wickets for Bengal. Eventually, Bengal lost the match, but the bowlers led by Shami did an excellent job.
So it will be really interesting to find out whether Mohammad Shami ends up in the playing eleven. India already have Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. And Mohammad Shami will be the new addition to the roster. Virat Kohli, for the time being, has a number of options to choose and this is some kind of a problem that a captain loves to have.
The Fourth Test match between India and Australia starts on March 25 and will be played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. It will be the first time that Dharamsala will host a test match cricket.
