Movies like The Lion King, Mulan, Pinocchio and Bambi have set the mark of excellence when it comes to classic animated films. Therefore, with regards to the story of this animated film Moana, the protagonist of the movie is an adventurous teenager who is out on a mission to save her people. Moana is accompanied by demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest. Together, they embark on a journey that is filled with twists and turns and at the end Moana fulfils her quest of her ancestors and discovers her own identity. Apparently, this is a movie which is based on a journey of life, one’s own identity and therefore it would be a perfect watch for kids and adult as well.

With regards to the rating of the critics, the movie Moana got a rating of 98% based on 147 reviews by Rotten Tomatoes and an average rating of 7.9/10 by Wikipedia . With such a positive rating there is no doubt that the movie will be doing great in terms of the box office collection in India as well. The superb visual effect gained the movie 4.5 out of 10 and the story gained a thumbs up from the audience and critics alike.

Made with a whopping budget of 150 million USD this movie has a star cast including Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho who have lent their voice which is bringing out the actions of the characters in the movie. With its official release in the United States on November 23, 2016, the movie did fairly well at the box office. The movie is scheduled to be released in India on 2nd December, and the critics feel that the movie will be doing pretty well in the international box office as well. As of November 29, 2016, Moana has bagged a collection of $87.6 million in North America and $17.2 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $104.8 million. Internationally, the film earned $17.2 million in its first weekend, and the maximum collection came from China. Considering the success of the movie in regards to the box office collection, the analysers feel that the movie Moana will bag a collection of close to 2 crores on its first day of release.
