The world’s leading Software giant, Microsoft has purchased artificial intelligence startup company Genee,which is a smart scheduling app so as to make an effort to embed similar methodology of artificial intelligence hence to compete with its contemporaries like Google Now and Apple’s Siri.
The following purchasesof Genee by Microsoft will help in improving capabilities of the firm’s named Cortana. Founded in 2004, Genee is likely to shut down its operations in September thus selling off the company to Microsoft. The owners Ben Cheung and Charles Lee will join Microsoft from September 1, 2016. The respective firm specialises in using the machine which is smart to handle the time-wasting task of scheduling meetings.
At present, the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet. Also, it is uncertain whether the passageway will be integrated with any Microsoft’s existing applications. But reversion, comments or suggestion might come from Genee’sexpertise or expert panel which can be used across software giants’ Microsoft Office 365 suite of products in near future.
Genee will help in assist all e-mails send to other workers or employees at a time with certain files, documents without staying burdened as before. Likewise, scheduling meetings can often involve a lot of back and forth over emails, something Genee solved with its solution. Also, a user can send e-mails to the person they want to set up a meeting with a copy with Genee, simply like a personal assistant.
