Microsoft Launches Full-Scale Cybersecurity Engagement Centre in India

Amid much talked about the biggest security breaches taken place in the country with a gesture of an assistance, Microsoft launched its first-ever full-scale Cybersecurity Engagement Centre, here, on Friday.

The technology giant put a hand forward at a time when the entire world and its governments are struggling to tackle the cyber attacks along with secured data breach issues. In India, it might be the first but previously it has opened 7 such centres in nations like Japan, Korea, Beijing, Brussels, etc. The security breach of over more than 4 million debit cards, it will help in keep a keen follow up over the tainted suspects all around the way. The Cybersecurity Engagement Centre has been located in New Delhi’s Connaught Place area.

The centre will help provide protection in a strategical way across all endpointswhich include sensors, data centres, detection of attack using targeted signals, behavioural monitoring, machine learning, and so on. It eventually closes the gaps between discovery and action taken so as to neutralise attack. It will also function as a satellite to the company’s Redmond Digital Crime Units. Along with this, it has carried out a nation-wide campaign to raise awareness regarding cyber securities.

We believe the security of critical information is imperative for our corporate customers, just as it is vital to ensure security and privacy of citizens’ data and transactions.The Indian cyber laws are stringent, and there is a need to educate corporates about Microsoft’s three-pronged approach to a comprehensive platform, unique intelligence and partnerships.

As per researchers, India is among the top 5 nations which can be attacked in a random manner through cyber in the next 12 months. The attacks by ransomware may put the nation in huge trouble under billions of rupees. So to overcome such cyber threats, Microsoft carried a campaign where as many as 100 organisations attended the seminar simply to understand what plaguedmeant.

It will offer security consultancy to enterprise customers along with aiming to expand public-private partnerships across the nation. It will help the enterprise to enable and empower hence managing modern security threats in an effect manner.
