Mercedes Benz‘s biggest SUV, the GL 350d launch took place on May 18. Mercedes-Benz GLS 350d in India priced at Rs 80.4 lakh. This model of Mercedes-Benz will not be sold in the Delhi-NCR market as the model is above 2,000 cc which is banned by the Supreme Court. The cabin comes in a 7-seater configuration. The safety features of a car are more important right now as most of the Indian cars lack it. But Mercedes-Benz GLS 350d list includes things like collision prevention assist, crosswind assist, attention assist, Pre-Safe, Brake Assist, Cruise control, ESP and electronic AWD traction system with 4ETS.
Roland Folger Mercedes-Benz Managing Director and CEO gave some more information to the reporters about the car’s market in India.

Mercedes-Benz GLS is full of extraordinary features, and the makers have provided almost everythingthat a car needs. Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing peak power of 251bhp and peak torque of 620Nm this German car is a genius. A nine-speed automatic gearbox powers all four wheels of the GLS. Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV has an 8-inch standalone tablet screen with touchpad control, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel that is covered in Nappa leather along with a new bonnet and a redesigned front bumper with back updated bumper and tail lamps.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLS- a 3.0 litre V6 producing 255 bhp with maximum can churn out a 577bhp, with a new 9-speed automatic transmission 7-speed automatic and permanent 4 wheel drive. The classic style is enhanced with the added features of contoured power domes on the bonnet, daytime running lights with LED fibre optics, mirror package with brand logo projection from side mirrors and last but not the least Aluminium-look running board with rubber studs.
