Directed by Lea Thompson and produced by Howard Deutch, the film takes a raw and honest approach to modern life. The project, which has garnered anticipation as well as curiosity, features Thompson’s daughters Zoey and Madelyn Deutch as co-starring sisters who try to navigate the world of 21st century life and dating. Melissa Bolona will be appearing as Amethyst Stone, a twenty-five-year-old yoga guru and the girlfriend of the girls’ mother, who will be played by Lea Thompson.

When asked about the film, Bolona expressed excitement at the project’s completion and at having had the chance to explore a new character. Bolona, who draws inspiration from fellow actors like Christian Bale, Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett, eased into her role as Amethyst Stone with plenty of yoga and healthy, mindful living. Bolona described the filming process itself as a great experience. She recounted a particularly fun trip to Tahoe with her co-stars where the group was hit by a snow storm prior to skiing. To Bolona’s delight, the snow was much softer and thus easier to fall in when skiing, which turned a potentially stressful situation into a fun bonding moment for the actors.

The premiere is one of the many that Melissa Bolona will attend this year, as the actress has continued to earn lucrative roles in various films which are due out during 2017 and 2018.
