Uttar Pradesh political magnum Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati completely disagreed on the high denomination currency ban eventually calling it as an Emergency like a situation similar to that of in 1978. The currency ban got declared as totally “nuisance creator” for the public as the revelations were done in the late evening when banks and post offices alreadyget closed.
Both the parties i.e. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party asked Centre to abolish the declaration immediately as it was only rendering havoc to the public and nothing else beneficial was coming out of it. It also told Cabinet to rollback its statement as this step was completely anti-national.
Well, it’s seldom that most prefaced rivals, Mulayam and Mayawati sing along on same note and with such similar verses pouring in is quite astonishing. The two political leaders spoke against the abolition of 500 and 1000 rupee note further questioning as for how would the introduction of 2000 rupee note kerb corruption? Also, circulation of fresh 500 rupee note would be seen as back-to-square-one, after re-introducing high denomination notes. In fact, they also spoke on the matter of re-introducing 1000 rupee note after a month or two.
According to Mulayam Singh Yadav,The Modi government has slapped Emergency without sending people to jail, and the BJP cares only about elections, not the problems faced by common people. The government has spread anarchy in the entire country; the common man is not even able to buy daily products.
The whole step of discontinuing larger notes was nothing but just a “diversion” from the transfer of black money into white henceforth stating it as in service to the favour of big industrialist which from initial stage backed the ruling party UPA-led Bharatiya Janata Party. It also has been a big bluff to the citizens of the nation that blighted various sectors, which includes electoral processes as politician whosoever are accused of bribing voters in return of illicit fundraising.
Mayawati and Mulayam reportedly stated in the same tone as diverting public’s mind from the party’s failure thus cursing BJP to face harsh consequences from the public during the UP Election Polls 2017.
