After the launch of the X Screen smartphone in July, earlier this year LG has announced its new upcoming smartphone adding to the company’s X line-up, the X-Cam. The South Korean consumer Electronics company announced the new mid-range X series of ‘specialist’smartphones back in February at the Mobile World Congress.

LG X cam has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) In-cell display, and is powered by a 1.14 GHz Octa-core processor, along with a Mali-T720MP3 GPU. The phone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded to 2TB via MicroSD.
The device sports also sports a secondary ‘Always-on’ screen measuring 1.76-inch, similar to the one in the LG V10. The second screen can be used to access frequently-used apps, answer calls without interrupting current activity, check time & date, battery status and other notifications without waking up the device.
The rear camera setup on the LG x cam is 13MP for one sensor and 5MP for the second sensor with a 120-degree wide angle lens. The front camera on the phone is 8MP. The phone comes with a Pop-out Picture will utilise both rear cameras and add frame effects to images like Fisheye, B&W, Lens Blur, and Vignette. The phone features video capture at 30fps on 1080p.
Battery and Connectivity:
LG X cam is powered by a 2520 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery. The phone will accept dual-Nano sim, and provides connectivity through – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth V4.2, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm audio jack. Extra features in the phone include Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Knock On, Touch & Shoot, and more.
LG X-Cam: how much does it cost and where to buy?
The LG X cam is available in four coloured variants-Titan Silver, Gold, Silver and Pink Gold and is priced at Rs. 21,500.
