Lenovo Z2 Plus, the Indian version of the Lenovo Zuk Z2, is set to be launched in India very soon. The smartphone that was launched in May is rumoured to be released this September most probably. The company is teasing the imminent launch with the caption, “Impatience is a virtue #FastForward.” There is also an imprint of the letter ‘Z’ behind the caption. Unfortunately, that is all Lenovo is hinting at now, and there is no word the date of the launch.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus will be a probable improvement over the Z1 which was launched earlier this year at a price tag of Rs. 13,499.
Lenovo Z2 Plus Specifications:
The Zuk Z2 has Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) LCD display with 2.5D curved glass and 414ppi pixel density. The new smartphone features a metal body with the front covered in 2.5D curved glass. On the inside, the company says there is a new internal heat conduction technology that prevents the device from overheating. The Z2 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under ZUI 2.0.
On the photography front, the smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80 degrees wide angle lens.
Battery and Connectivity:
The phone has a 3500mAh battery which is quite a lot and is surely enough to provide a full day’s charge with moderate usage and a minimum talk time of up to 8-10 hours. There is also a U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint scanner that is capable of recognising wet fingerprints, and a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
How much does the phone cost and where/when will it be available?
The Lenovo Z2 Plus will be available in black and white colour variants. Unlike the Z1, the Z2 is priced a tad higher at 1,800 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 18,400. At this price range, the smartphone will face competition from the likes of the HTC OnePlus 2 and the Sony Xperia XA. As of now the exact release date of the phone is not known, but sources state that the phone will most probably be available in September on E-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
Lenovo has had a very decent run in the market with its Vibe Range of Budget smartphones and the company has pegged the upcoming device to be a real money-earner.
With the specifications offered and price range quoted, one can hardly argue.
