Lenovo Vibe S1 is Getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update in India

Lenovo has rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Vibe S1 in India. The news was announced by  Anuj Sharma, Lenovo India’s head of product and marketing, on Twitter. If you own Vibe S1, then wait for the notifications that’ll tell you to download and install. You’d need 1.6GB free space. And by the size of the update you can very well understand that its wise to do the updates on WiFi.

Vibe S1 is the first smartphone that offers two front-facing cameras. Currently the handset is available on a price cut. When the smartphone came out, it was priced at Rs 15,999 but is now available at Rs 12,999 on Amazon.

To recall, Lenovo Vibe S1 sports 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display with 441 pixels per inch. Its a dual SIM smartphone that comes with two Nano-SIM. It measures 143.30 x 70.80 x 7.80 and weighs 132.00 grams. Lenovo Vibe S1 is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor. The smartphone is packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device sports 2420mAh non removable battery.

The mobile phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Speaking of camera, the Vibe S1 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. Its worth mentioning that the the smartphone features sensors like Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer. As far as connectivity is concerned, the device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, GPS, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
