In the rumour mill, a coupleof new and exciting rumours have emerged regarding the upcoming Left 4 Dead 3. The latest news comes froman employee at Valve namedTristan Reidford. During the Destinations/Importing tutorial,Reidfordrevealeda Left 4 Dead 3 dedicated folder within his Favourite folders.
When people saw the file and questioned it, the image was immediately deleted and replaced with a new image. While a lot of people think it was a hoax only to get fans superficially excited. And some people believe that it’s Valve’s way to teasing fans on the upcomingthird instalment. As of now, nothing is certain. Only time will tell.
To recall, in February, there were reports thatLeft 4 Dead 3was referenced in a Vive benchmark tool.ThereHalf-Life 3was included as well, and we think this is the reason rumoursthe anticipated first-person, survival horror game refuse to die.
Then there another rumours that say, the Valve benchmark tool allows players to check if their PC is compatible with HTC Vive gear. And when you dig further into the files, there are references to two Valvegame titles mentioned above. Back then this alone had sparked speculation that the game is presently in development. Valve refused to comment on the matter so there was no official confirmation.
Valve has remainedsilent on the upcoming instalment but has somehow managed to keep fans excited with rumours and slips like the one we demonstrated earlier. Left 4 Dead 3 is still a big mystery at the moment. We are pretty sureLeft 4 Dead 3is happening because Valve hasn’t outright said it isn’t happening.
Left 4 Dead 3 is rumoured for a 2017 release.
