
LeEco Super TVs: Earlier we reported that theChinese tech giant, LeEco is all set to enter the Indian TV market industry on August 4, 2017, i.e. today. Off-late, the company, has been teasing about something “big” making its way to India, with the hashtag “The future is Big”.
UPDATE: LeEco has launched Super3 Series of Smart TVs in India with a starting price of Rs. 59,790. The models are –55-inch Super3 X55, the 65-inch Super3 X65, and the 65-inch flagship model – the Super3 Max65. And they are priced atRs. 59,790,Rs. 99,790 andRs. 1,49,790 respectively. These televisions are available at the company’s LeMall website and is up forfirst ‘pre-sale’ from August 10 to August 12 in Flipkart.
“Our newly launched Super TVs is a testimony to our commitment of bringing top-of-the-line devices and services to our users in India,” Tin Mok, Vice President, Le Holdings and CEO of LeEco Asia Pacific, told reporters at the launch event in New Delhi on Thursday.
ORIGINAL STORY: The event is taking place at the Hyatt Residency in new Delhi and media registrations beginat 11:30 am. This is followed by the launchof the product. The Super TVs are affordable televisioncombines premium offering and affordable pricing. Earlier this year,LeEco had launched two models inSuper 4×50 and Super 4×50 Pro, both 50-inch, priced at2499 (approx Rs. 25,000) and2,999 (Rs. 30,000). These are the fourth generation TV models launched by LeEco. For the prices offered, the Super TVs are a good buy.
Both the television feature 4K resolution screen and are 50-inch and come withHarmon Kardon audio along with voice recognition support. Note thatLeEco’s Super TVs run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based eUI 5.8. The higher-end model is powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC and have 3D functionality, while the lower-end model comes with MStar 6A938 processor. Both the TVs have either 16GB or 32GB storage options.
As we had reported earlier, this year, LeEcoentered the Indian market withthe launch of two smartphone models – the Le 1s and the Le Max.LeEco plans to have 6,000-8,000 outlets across the country by the time the year ends.LeEco had bought US consumer electronics company Vizio for about $2 billion. Vizio, theCalifornia-based is known for making affordable soundbars, LCD monitors, andflat screen televisions.Vizio was founded in 2002 and has grown into becoming one of thelargest manufacturers of TV sets in the United States.
It’s worth noting that LeEco hasn’t officially said what they are launching and there is a possibility LeEco might launch one of its older TV series in India. We’ll update the post in a couple of hours. All updates are added at the beginning of the post.
