Indian Cricket Captain Dhoni’s biopic is all set to hit the silver screen and with this turmoil of rumours have erupted from the past. The first in the list being Mahendra Singh Dhoni‘s ex-beau Laxmi Raai. The Southern siren who garnered praises from her latest Bollywood stint Akira, reacted quite bluntly as not to drag into the movie as it the cricketer’s biopic and not her’s. However, with frequent queries jolting up, the actress felt quite meaningless to be still linked to Dhoni after so many years.

Despite being Sonakshi‘s film, the actress gathered appreciation from all over thus revealing that she was a part of the film only due to Filmmaker AR Murugadoss and team who always put a brilliant piece of work on 75 mm screen. The actress apart from her shining career graph, she is again in the news and this time for personal reasons. Laxmi was into the relationship with cricketer Dhoni long time back in 2008 when she became the brand ambassador of his IPL team. The two started off well but soon called it separation months later.

Now, as the biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story will be releasing on September 30 worldwide, Laxmi Raai got dragged into the matter thus questioning whether she was a part of the biopic or not. To this, the actress miffed and reacted as it was completely illogical to interview her regarding Dhoni’s film. She will be essaying the lead actress in Julie 2, so no queries against her feature films turned out to be a bit annoying.

As per Laxmi Raai interview given to DNA, “I don’t know why people are asking me about Dhoni’s biopic and whether I’ll be featured in it. I have nothing to do with Dhoni now and he has moved on in life. He is happily married and has a child. Why are people dragging me into this now that his biopic is coming out? I hope there is nothing in the film about me! Since it is a biopic, the film should only be about M S Dhoni and not about his relationships. I think I should also not comment on such questions like Dhoni. No girl wants to be tagged with someone forever.”

The Southern actress also stated that being a part of the industry she congratulates the entire team of MS Dhoni for success and she would be surely visiting theatres to watch the film. The Julie 2 lead star took her time to thank the critics as well as the audiences to appreciate her work in ‘Akira‘ thus promising to deliver better performance with each film.
