Kingdom Hearts 3 is rumoured to introduce two new worlds for game-players to explore which will include the Marvel universe as well as the Star Wars universe.
This should not come as a great surprise to those who are aware of The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Entertainment and Lucasfilm. However, it will be interesting to see how the creators of the upcoming game would execute the incorporation of the worlds of Darth Vader and Iron Man into that of childhood favourites like Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White.
However, none of these speculations have been confirmed by either Disney or Square Enix, and fans expect an official announcement to be made on the game’s release date during the Kingdom Hearts concert tour next year. But while the creators of the gaming sequel have been pretty guarded about any information regarding its present state of development, they have let us in on some tips that will make for an enhanced gaming experience.
Co-director of Kingdom Hearts 3, Tai Yasue, has been reported as saying that the makers have tried to build on the existing system for the next generation of players. This coincides with a previously heard news that the upcoming game may comprise of an enhanced combat and magical point system. Yasue also added that it may include the use of magical spells that will be a boost for the game’s environment. “It doesn’t just explode. It lingers on afterwards. If you shoot a Blizzard, for example, it creates a place where you can skate on the ground. We wanted the magic to dynamically interact with the environments,” he said.
Yasue further informed that the game will be best experienced if the player has experience with and a sound understanding of all the previous games in the franchise. Regardless, it is not an absolute necessity in order to enjoy all the worlds in the game, he added.
The game is expected to release for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 sometime next year.
