Upcoming film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai Tamil-language romantic thriller film is set to release on 7 April. The Tamil movie will also get a Telugu dubbing rights for the film and will simultaneously release the Telugu version under the title Cheliyaa. Now the film has released its second trailer, and it is extremely fascinating. Karthi and actress Aditi Rao Hydari play the leads, and the film has music by A R Rahman.
The trailer is too intense, and it is very explicit that the movie will be too engrossing. Though the makers are saying it is a love story but the action scenes are too much detailed. It seems the director has put a lot of effort to make the movie more realistic that lacks in typical movies. Karthi plays a fighter pilot in who has been seemingly taken prisoner by the rival army. The video also shows Karthi trying to escape from the enemies. We knew that it is a love story of an air force pilot. Another interesting factor of the movie is, a glimpse of RJ-turned-actor Balaji, who also works for Air Force.
While promoting the movie, Karthi said ‘It is a love story, not a war film. But, still, we took a lot of effort to bring in the spirit of a war in the film. Hope we have succeeded in that to some extent. Don’t come with the expectations of watching an ‘Alaipayuthey’ or ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai is being produced under Mani Ratnam’s home production banner Madras Talkies. This movie is special as the music director marks his 25 years celebration with Mani Ratnam, in the film industry.
‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is certified with U certificate by the censor board and will hit the screens on April 7.
