
Jeep has finally launched the all new Grand Cherokee in India with a whopping Rs 93.64 lakh ex-showroom price. As a Limited version, the price may go up all the way up to Rs 1.12 crore. The car was already showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year and promised to bring it in the second half of the year. Well, Jeep has kept its promise!
The Grand Cherokee comes in three versions and two engine options. Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (Rs 93.64 lakh), Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit (Rs 1.03 crore), Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (Rs 1.12 crore). The Limited and Summit variants are powered by a 3-litre V6 diesel engine with the full-fat SRT performance version with a Hemi V8 motor. This produces 240bhp of power and 570Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. In terms of capacities, and weights, it has got a 93-litre fuel tank and weighed in at 2,432kg and 2,455kg for Limited and Summit versions respectively.
On the other hand, SRT version massive 6.4-litre Hemi V8 motor that is powerful enough to produce 470bhp of power and 630Nm of torque with a capacity of 3266kg. All the three versions come standard with Jeep’s Select-Terrain all-wheel drive system with various predefined setups for throttle control, gearbox, transfer case and traction control.
Jeep is offering some great features such as Alpine audio system with 7-inch display, 20 panoramic sunroofs, ventilated front seats, -inch polished wheels, leather upholstery, park assist, rear entertainment system and few other.
