JBL has launched a Reflect Aware C in-ear noise-cancelling headphones that comes with USB Type-C connector. The USB connector serves for both power and audio from your phone. The headphone as a result doesn’t require charging like most other noise-cancelling headphones, relies on its built-in battery.
The headphone doesn’t use the typical 3.5mm headphone jack and is compatible with USB-C devices like MacBooks and Chromebooks. comes with a fin-style ear tips that helps the earphone to stay in place even when you are exercising or running. Additionally, the headphone is sweat-proof and s powered by 14.8mm drivers. The device is pretty user-friendly and the noise cancelling features can be controlled through the in-line remote. It allows volume control too and the microphone facilitates hands-free use of the smartphone. The headphone is available in both black and white colour options and come with tangle-free cable.
Tech gurus are speculating that after JBL a lot of the brands are going to launch USB Type-C headphones soon enough. These days, an increasing number of Android smartphones are being manufactured with Type-C port and connector.
The Reflect Aware C was launched alongside the new HTC’s 10 smartphones but the availability or pricing of the headset is not available yet. With the launch of Reflect Aware C, experts opine that like Apple, Android devices too are going to do away with the 3.5mm headphone socket.
The headphone is very much customizable, which mean it allows you to cut down on the noise cancellation part and lets you listen to the surrounding sounds if you want to.
As for the price we can make a guess that since JBL offers the same headphones in a Lightning version for iPhone at a price of $159.95 and we are guessing that the headphone will be available in June 2016.
