Jacqueline Fernandez has become one of those stars who can brag about international endorsement deals as she becomes the brand ambassador of the Sri Lankan Airlines. The actress won the beauty queen at a Sri Lankan pageant in 2006 and in the same year represented her country in the world Miss Universe pageant.
Speaking on the occasion, Jacqueline Fernandez said, “Its an honor to be part of Srilankan Airlines, the brand’s heritage, and ideology are depicted in its service and strong reputation carried since many years. Ever since I was a kid, I had great memories traveling with this airline. I am quite excited about this opportunity to represent the brand from my country origin, which I truly believe in.”
Commenting about the association, Ajit Dias, Chairman, Srilankan Airlines, said: “We are delighted to have Jacqueline Fernandez as the Brand Ambassador for Srilankan Airlines. Jacqueline’s strong connect, passion towards Sri Lanka and being an iconic profile in Sri Lanka aligns her naturally with the brand, just like our other two brand ambassadors, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara.”
Presently the actress is busy with the promotions of A Flying Jatt where she plays the love interest of the lead Tiger Shroff. The film is an upcoming Bollywood superhero film. It is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and is directed by Remo D’Souza. Besides Tiger Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, there’s a professional wrestler named Nathan Jones in the movie, playing a significant role. Amrita Puri makes a special appearance in an item song in the film. Earlier, the makers had released the A Flying Jatt first motion poster.
It’s worth noting that Tiger Shroff, besides being an actor is also a martial artist. He made his debut in the 2014 film Heropanti for which he went on to win a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination. Following this, he starred in an action drama Baaghi (2016), which earned over US$15 million worldwide.
A Flying Jatt hits the theaters on 25 August 2016.
