The rumor mill was churning out for the last few days about the iPhone 7 release date, and many experts believed that the smartphone would be launched on 16th September, and the preorders will start from 9th September, a week ago of the official unveiling. Even the world famous leak-star Evan Blass also vouched for the same date and said, iPhone 7 will be released on 16th September. That means the US-based tech conglomerate is likely to host their annual iPhone unveiling event a few days earlier on September 6th or 7th. The reports also claimed that the latest edition of the MacBook Pro would also be unveiled at the same event, along with the iPhone 7.
But according to some fresh reports, the new MacBook Pro is still in its advanced testing stage and won’t be introduced in near future. Apple is all set to hold a press conference on 7th September, where the new MacBook Pro was scheduled to make its debut, but instead, Apple will unveil their next-generation versions of the iPhone, which is iPhone 7.
Bloomberg, one of the leading media house for global business and financial information, said in a report on Wednesday, “The new [MacBook Pro] computers have been in advanced testing within Apple since earlier this year, said one of the people, who didn’t want to be identified discussing products before their release,” Later, they also added, “The MacBook Pros aren’t likely to debut at an event currently scheduled for Sept. 7 to introduce next-generation versions of the iPhone, according to one of the people. Apple spokesman Bill Evans declined to comment.”
A few days ago, we reported that Apple is going to ditch the traditional 3.5mm jack and will incorporate the all new 3D Touch Home Button in the upcoming iPhone 7. But other than these, this latest flagship device will likely to look a lot similar to its previous edition, iPhone 6S. The larger ‘Plus’ variant will also feature the same specs and is likely to sport better photo-taking capabilities.
Though Apple has not officially confirmed the iPhone 7 release date, neither given hints on its specifications, but the people with knowledge of the matter are almost confirmed that iPhone 7 is going to be unveiled on September 7th. The Apple enthusiasts John Gruber has also predicted that iPhone 7 keynote event would likely to be scheduled on 7th September.
