Isuzu, the Japanese SUV manufacturer, is now all set to bring the MU-X to India after the launch of D-Max V-Cross adventure utility vehicle in India earlier this year. Isuzu has already inaugurated its new local manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh earlier this year with an initial investment of three thousand crores. Isuzu began its journey in India back in 2013 with the launch of Isuzu-7 which was a premium SUV. The newly launched MU-X will replace the old model.
Isuzu MU-X Specs
We can expect that the new Isuzu MU-X will be powered by a 3 litre diesel engine. The estimated power generation will be around 177 PS at 2600 rpm and a peak torque of 380 Nm at 1800 rpm. 5-speed automatic gearbox will be provided to take care of the transmission duties and four wheel drive feature is also expected. The car will have 17 inches Alloy wheel and weigh around 2000 Kg. The mileage is expected to be 12 km/litre. The specs are based on the international model and the India model version may vary slightly.
Isuzu MU-X Features
The seven-seater SUV will have leather seats, an optional premium audio system with six speakers along with two roof-mounted speakers with Bluetooth connectivity. It also offers high-end features such as automatic climate control, AC vents for rear seats, height adjustable driver seat, brake assist, terrain management system and others. The MU-X also comes with foldable second and third row foldable seats to accommodate more amounts of luggage. This will available in six colours: Titanium Silver, Splash White, Silky White Pearl, Outback Bronze, Obsidian Grey Mica and Cosmic Black.
Isuzu MU-X Price and Release Date
The testing of MU-X has already begun in India. MU-X is most expected to launch in India in April 2017. The price will vary between Rs. 24-28 Lakhs. It will compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Endeavour and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
