There have been reports doing the rounds thatKaran Joharwanted Ishaan Khatterto start his Bollywood journey with a Dharma Productions film and preferably withStudent of the Year 2. But Karan has now cleared the air on Twitter saying, “CLARIFICATION: Ishaan is the lead of#Dhadakdirected by@ShashankKhaitanand Tiger Shroff is the Lead of#StudentOfTheYear2directed by@punitdmalhotra…all other cross stories floating around are baseless and untrue….” Hope this clears all the doubts!
According to Mumbai Mirror, Karan Johar was very keen that Khatter should star in a Dharma film to mark his debut in the industry. But the young guy was clear he wanted Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds to be his debut. K Jo was gracious enough to wait so that he can give him his second film Dhadak with Janhvi Kapoor. Mid-Day further added that Karan wanted Ishaan to work withSara Ali Khan in the remake of Fault In Our Stars which apparently is shelved now. Quoting a source, the daily reported, “The film (SOTY 2) had been put on hold because Karan wanted a few changes in the script. An outing with Sara Ali Khan in the Bollywood remake of the American romance-drama, Fault In Our Stars, was apparently going to mark another collaboration between Ishaan and Karan. But, that got shelved.”
The source had added further, “Ishaan has a 40-day schedule for the film, following which he will move on to SOTY 2. Just like the first part, this film will also have many songs. There will also be a few action scenes. Ishaan is already gearing up for them.”Now all that gets cleared by this one tweet by the filmmaker…
