Iron Man,’ one of the cult creation of Marvel Studios again grabbing the headlines for its mysterious absence from the annual San Diego Comic-Con 2016 event. Where all the well-known names of the Hollywood superhero movies were present, the ‘Iron Man’ team’s absence only to surprise the audience and media. And as a result, the information regarding “Iron Man” sequel also remained in darkness. Marvel has not officially announced “Iron Man 4” yet.

Robert Downey Jr. has already admitted his willingness to do another instalment in several interviews, even hinting the possibility of Mel Gibson taking the film. The 51 years old “The Avengers” star’s word is compelling us to believe “Iron Man 4” may not be happening anytime sooner. The absence of Robert Downey Jr. in the comic con is another added point towards that.

With the confirmation of Downey’s absence from Iron Man many possible or impossible rumours have started hovering. There is a striking rumour about Iron Man is Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark character may be replaced by a Marvel supervillain. Marvel illustrator Alex Maleev recently sketched supervillain Dr Doom wearing Stark’s Iron Man suit and shared it in tweeter. There is another rumour that Tony Stark will be replaced by a 15-year-old MIT student Riri Williams in “Iron Man 4.” There is another chance of Iron Man to become ‘Iron Woman’ in its fourth instalment. According to ‘Christian Today’, the comic books illustrated the plot in a way where Tony Stark lend the dress to Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, hinting that the upcoming “Iron Man” instalment may follow Romanoff’s journey as the next Iron Man or Iron Woman.

But still the fans of the “Iron Man” believes the next movie may release in 2020. Now how much that is possible no one knows yet!
