iOS 10 Update:Apple has released its first public beta version of iOS 10.2for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The update comes with a host of bug fixes and tonof new features like emojis, wallpapers, features about the camera, etc. The new iOS 10.2 includes Unicode 9.0 supports that packseveral new emojis including selfie emojis.

Several new features in the iOS 10.2 Public Beta update will enhance the iOS 10. Here’s a list of the new features you’d find:

  • New emojis including a selfie emoji, a clown emoji and the hotly anticipated \_(ツ)_/ emoji. As per MacRumours there are Unicode 9 characters like clown face, drooling face, selfie, face palm, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, pancakes, croissant, and more, plus many profession emoji available in both male and female genders.
  • There three new wallpapers available but only for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
  • You’ll find new widget for Videos app
  • As well as Preserve Camera setting.
  • Under Home Button Accessibility settings there’s a new‘Press and Hold to Speak’ menu.
  • Under the new Music setting, you’ll find a new ‘Show Star Ratings’ option.
  • Other new features include‘Celebration’ Messages screen effect, new headphone icon in status bar for Bluetooth audio devices, etc.

Unlike the developer program, the public beta program is free. New beta testers can head this way to enrollinto the program. The program allows users to test pre-release versions before the final one comes out.Participants can access to both iOS and macOS Sierra betas. After being registered, you’ll find instructions for installing the public beta profile. Following that, the iOS 10.2 public beta updates and releases will be made available as an over the air (OTA) update.
