The much-awaited Apple event is finally over, and it was massive. We already had an overview what is Apple going to unveil in this event, kudos to the leaks and the rumours broke the internet. But watching all come together at the event was a completely different experience altogether. Although Apple has unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus along with the next generation smartwatch, Apple Watch 2, it is not the entire highlights of the recently concluded annual event.
Apple has also announced that they have already launched the final “Gold Master” version of the company’s new iOS 10 operating system before the iOS 10’s public launch, which is scheduled to take place on next Tuesday, 13th September.
Apple was busy designing the developer Beta and was launching public Beta for iOS 10 throughout the summer. And the new software was responding very well. In fact, iOS 10 betas are the most bug-free and stable beta the US-based tech conglomerate has released till date.
But as Apple is now preparing to launch the public version of iOS 10 next week, before the big release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the company is looking forward to launching one last version of iOS 10, iOS 10 GM or iOS Gold Master, before the main event.
The iOS 10 GM is very much similar to the version of iOS 10 which will be launched to the public next week. That means the developers will get one last chance to get their apps ready for the update. For the non-developers, they will also get the last chance to try their hands on the final version of iOS 10 before it is officially available to the public.
So if you want to test the iOS GM what you should do? Well, the steps are almost identical with the steps to the installation of iOS 10 beta. iOS 10 GM is available as an OTA or over the air update. So just go to your phone’s Settings>General>Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install iOS 10 GM on your compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
