Only a week after releasing the Beta 4 for developers, Apple has launched the iOS Beta 5 for developers to test out. They have issued a detailed PDF file on what’s changed and what the still known bugs are.

iOS 10 Beta 5

Here’s an overview of the PDF available online:

  • Apple ID password login is no longer required following a reboot for App Store purchases
  • New lock sound and enhanced keyboard sounds
  • Devices will cause no longer “panic” when using iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case
  • Third party apps are now able to play Music even if the Music app has been removed
  • No more dropouts using Bluetooth LE-based hearing aids with an iPhone that’s also paired with an Apple Watch
  • After enabling speaker during a call, subsequent calls will no longer use speaker by default
  • Pass update banners will no longer fail to show unless previous pass notifications are first cleared from Notification Center
  • Easier camera launches from the lock screen
  • Smaller current date from the home screen

This is a developers version, and therefore it’s not recommended for public. We are hoping the public beta 5 will come out with the next week. There is no confirmation as to how many iOS betas the company will release before working on finalizing the Gold Master version of the software. But we are certain the updates are going to come out until September when the rumored launch of iPhone 7/iPhone 6SE.

Recently a 4K video emerged online where they showcased three variants of iPhone 7. The videos were originally posted to YouTube by Bshop Kuwa. This could be hinting at the existence of the alleged iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro. The video showcased a 4.7-inch gold iPhone, 5.5-inch rose gold iPhone Plus and 5.5-inch silver iPhone 7 Pro. The iPhone Plus is likely to come with a single-lens camera while the iPhone 7 Pro will have a dual-lens camera, the video said. The video isn’t official, so we don’t know if Apple is bringing out three variants of iPhone 7. A couple of weeks back the famous tipster Evan Bass said that there are going to be only two iPhone 7 models. “The 2 (two!) 2016 iPhone models are codenamed Sonora and Dos Palos”, Blass wrote.
