Intex is launching yet another affordable smartphone, named the Intex Aqua Strong 5.1. The phone has been listed on their website at a price of INR 5,599 and like its predecessors,it is aimed at the average Indian on a budget. This one comes just days after the company launched the Cloud String V2.0 in late July.

The new smartphone will sport a5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels display with a pixel density of 196 PPI. The device will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will be equipped on the inside with a1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor,ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.

The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 will offer 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD. The dual SIM smartphone will be powered by a 2800 mAh Lithium-ion battery which is said to offer up to 16 hours of talk time and over 460 hours of standby time. The new smartphone will also be 4G enabled along with a plethora of other connectivity options likeBluetooth 4.0, Micro USB port, GPS/AGPS, Emergency rescue, turbo download, and Accelerometer.

The device features a 5 megapixel fixed focus primary camera coupled with a dual LED flash and canrecord videos in 720p at 30 frames per second. The phone also features a 2 megapixel secondary camera for selfies which comes with a single LED flash feature.

The new phone will come in three colour options- Champagne, White and Blue, and it also comes loaded with various built-in apps such as Matrabhasha, Online Software Update, Clean Master, Opera Mini, Opera Max, and Saavn. The phone’s dimensions are measured at 141.2 x 72.3 x 9.47 mm and it weighs about 150 grams.

Though it is not yet known when exactly the new phone will be available on the market, it will be a welcome addition to the number of sensiblypriced smartphones in India.
