The new video gives us a glimpse of how the story will continue after the catastrophic events of the 2013 original, turning friends and fellow fighters into bitter foes. The Batman vs Superman conflict continues with more heroes joining the roster. But the conflict will be seen as the perfect opportunity for a more dangerous enemy to swoop in and take advantage of the situation. To combat this dark new force, Batman will be tasked with forming a new team with like-minded heroes. And the new Injustice 2 trailer introduces who exactly it is that our heroes will have to face off against- Brainiac. Other notable excerpts show off a dramatic Batman vs Robin battle, while later we see Supergirl in action against Wonder Woman. We also get to see new DC faces like Poison Ivy and Darkseid. Watch the trailer below.

Speaking of the playable roster in Injustice 2, players will be able to take their pick from among a number of DC characters. Other than Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Robin, Flash, Wonder Woman, and several other well-known faces, there will also be the likes of Bane and Harley Quinn. In other news about Injustice 2, Gamespot reports that the game will come in three different editions. While the Standard Edition will be priced at $60, the $80 Deluxe Edition will include three new DLC characters as well as a Premier Skin that can transform Supergirl into Power Girl. The Ultimate Edition, priced at $100, will come with nine DLC superheroes and three skins- one each for Supergirl, Flash and Green Lantern. There will also be two gear shader packs (Defender and Destroyer). You can check out the Injustice 2 pre-order page to get a good idea for yourself.
