The talks over the issue, if India will successfully get into the nuclear nations list have been on for quite a long time. While the Indian Ally, United States has been supporting India throughout in the fight for the status of a nuclear state, the biggest power of Asia, which is China has always opposed it. The small obstacles that were in the way of granting this status to India were all cleared with the signing of the nuclear deal between the US and India.
Today, Sushma Swaraj, the external affairs minister said that she is confident enough about the fact that India will successfully enter the list of nuclear states. “Hum China ko bhi mananey mein kamyabi hasil kar lenge (We will succeed in convincing China too),” she told the media. She added that the distance between the two nations on the issue would be cleared soon after the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets the Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Tashkent on 23 June.
The complications will soon be solved, as per the statements made by the External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj. In the same press meet, she also talked about Indo-Pak relation. She said, “India-Pakistan relations are still jatil. We are awaiting solid action from Pakistan’s side on Pathankot attack. Pakistan has not rejected the proposal for NIA visit, has sought sometimeto conduct proper probe from their end”.
