Finally a Mr World from India! Rohit Khandelwal, a 26-years old model-actor from Hyderabad, won the title of Mr World 2016 on Wednesday, 20th July. His story from the boy next door to Mr World is an inspiring one. India has won many Miss World award, but Mr World is a rare one. The competition was held at the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre in Southport in U.K. and as a winner, he received a cash prize of $50,000. Rohit was Provogue Personal Care Mr India World in 2015 and since then he is training rigorously to participate in Mr World contest. He is the only Indian, who has won the award.
Rohit Khandelwal could not be happier after winning the prestigious award. He thanked everyone from family and friends to his fans and those people whose hard work were involved behind his success.
Khandelwal was also seen competing for some other sub-titles too, like Mr World Multimedia Award, Mr World Talent, Mobster People’s Choice Awards and Mr World Sports Event, and he won the sub-title of Mr World Mutimedia Award. Defeating 47 participants from around the world winning the title was not a matter of joke and his immense talent makes India proud. Wearing a tuxedo by designer Nivedita Saboo, he was looking extremely handsome and confident. The best part of him is that he did not forget to thank those people who were involved with him in his struggle to success. Names like Sabira Merchant, Supreet Bedi, Prasad Bidapa, Jamuna Pai, Sandesh Mayekar, Bodyholics, Kromakay, Amit Khanna, Swaroop Medara and Rukshana Eisa were some ofthe names taken by him.
