The Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC failed to the market going in 2016 when they released HTC 10 but with an enthusiasm to get things going in the right way; HTC is looking forward to releasing their latest device in the first quarter of the upcoming year. And this unnamed device which is called HTC 11 at this moment is expected to be having jaw dropping features.
We might expect this flagship device of HTC to hit the market in the month of February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) or maybe a week later. But it will definitely go beyond the month of April for their last release was in April last year. That would see get past the one-year mark since the release of HTC 10.
Coming to the configurations of HTC 11, it can be remarked that it’s going to be a highly updated one. The screen will be coming with a dual-curve display which will enable the brand to compete with the likes of Samsung and other leading brands. The device is expected to support a screen resolution of 2560 x 1560 pixels.
The phone might feature a Snapdragon 830 processor or a Snapdragon 821 processor although nothing much has been revealed regarding the chipset to be used on the phone. The operating system is expected to be Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. The phone is also rumoured to be having a RAM of 6 GB which is quite huge going by the current standards and will have an internal storage of 32 or 64 GB. The expandable memory is going to be as high as 1 TB.
According to the news reported in Fabnewz, regarding the camera, it can be said that HTC does provide a good camera with their products although low-light capturing hasn’t been too good in its last flagship device HTC 10. However, it is expected that HTC 11 will be featuring a better camera to compete with easy-to-use camera facilities in Samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple iPhones. It might come with a 12 MP rear camera along with laser autofocus, OIS, BMI Sensor; dual tone LED flash and 4k video recording. The Ultrapixel technology is also expected to be there. HTC 11 will have a secondary camera of 5 MP to take selfies.
HTC 10, which did not turn out to be a great success for the makers of smartphones from Taiwan, had a price tag of $699. So it can be estimated that HTC 11 will undergo a hike of almost $80 to $100. So the final price will range between $750 and $800.
If the suggestions turn out to be true, it is going to be a great venture for HTC. In fact, as they are looking forward to a better result from their latest upcoming device HTC 11, the speculated features are somewhat a must. But whether the device will feature all these or not will be revealed only when HTC releases this device next year.
