Honda the name is enough when it comes to some new addition in the automotive industry. This time, the brand is coming with another treat. Japanese tuner Mugen is coming with its latest model Honda S660 Mugen RA which is a special edition of Honda’s pint-sized roadster, that was announced in prototype guise during the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon in January. The car is coming back to the market after some exterior revision.
Honda S660 Mugen RA Features
Honda S660 Mugen RA includes a carbon fibre grille, with a twin pipe sports exhaust and lightweight forged aluminium wheels from BBS. It also has the leather steering wheel with contrast stitching. Now comes the power. A 660 cc turbocharged DOHC three-cylinder engine of the car can produce 64 hp and 104 Nm. The 64hp at 6,000rpm and of peak torque at 2,600 is one of the best features of Honda S660 Mugen RA.
The exterior upgrades include a carbon fibre grille, ‘Mugen RA’ badging, a twin-pipe sports exhaust and lightweight forged aluminium wheels from BBS. But that is not it. A ‘Mugen’ start button, ‘Mugen’ instrument panel, serial number plate and carbon-fibre trim pieces.
Honda’s diminutive S660 is the retired S2000’s modern day counterpart. The Mugen S660 RA’s production will fittingly be limited to 660 units which are exclusively for Japan where it will go on sale on October 3 priced at 2,890,000 yen. The bad part of the news is this car will only be available in Japan.
