The 2016 MotoGP season is the perfect way of ending a year on a good note as Repsol Honda (HRC) as rider Marc Marquez was crowned world champion for the fifth time and HRC also took home the constructor’s championship title. Now Japanese brand Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has decided to introduce the CBR250R Limited edition – ‘The Repsol Honda Racing Replica” to celebrate the historical win.
Yadvinder Singh Guleria the senior vice president, sales and marketing at HMSI said that “After witnessing the exemplary performance and success of Repsol Honda Team at the 2016 MotoGP season, we wanted to offer customers and racing enthusiasts, a unique experience of owning their very own Repsol Racing Replica motorcycle. We have adopted Team Repsol Honda paint and graphic scheme directly inspired by the legendary RC213V including the numbers of our star riders, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa,”
Honda CBR250R Repsol Racing Replica Edition Engine
The new edition is identical to the regular CBR250R. The motorcycle is powered by a 249cc liquid cooled, 4-Stroke, SI engine that develops 26.15bhp of power at 8500rpm and 22.9Nm of torque at 7000rpm mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine continues to draw power from the 250cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder DOHC engine. There will be no mechanical changes on the limited edition CBR250R.
Honda CBR250R Repsol Racing Replica Edition Version and Release Date
The Honda CBR250R Repsol Racing Replica edition will be available in two different versions – Marc Marquez 93 and Dani Pedrosa 26. This new bike is inspired by the legendary RC213V racing bike and comes with MotoGP graphics. The best part is the limited edition model on sale previously, back in 2013.
