Salim Khan has always been a strict critic of his son Salman Khan’s work but it seems the father loved his son’s performance in his recent three releases.
When asked about Salman Khan’s performance in Tubelight & whether it will fetch him awards, Salim said, “In our house, we don’t hanker after awards. Iss Ghar mein awards ka kuch importance nahi hai. Salman has done some very good work inBajrangi BhaijanandSultan.
He has also worked great in Tubelight but you certainly cannot compare these three different genre movies.
“Tubelightis a very nice film. I have seen it in its raw form — na uska background music tha, na uski mixing hui thi, so I hadn’t seen the finished product, but whatever I saw, was very good. I have seen many films of that genre and subject, main ek andaza kar sakta hoon finished product kya hoga and I can say ki bahut achchi film hai.” Says the proud father.
Tubelight is set to release on 25 June this year. The movie is a historical war drama written by Kabir Khan. Salman khan will play the lead role of Laxman and a Chinese actress Zhu Zhu will be seen against him in the movie. The movie will also have a cameo played by Shah Rukh Khan.
The film started in July 2016 in Ladakh and is said to be based on the 2015 movie ‘Little Boy’.
