Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con International 2014 before the theatrical release of the first film, along with Gunn’s involvement once again, with the title of the film revealed a year later in June 2015. The film began principal photography in February 2016 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, and concluded in June 2016.
An exciting trailer of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” using the toy building brick, Lego to recreate the trailer of the sequel was released by Huxley Breg Studios. The Lego-themed trailer featured the characters from the film including Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket and Groot and even used a 90’s soundtrack. One of the themes of the “Guardians of The Galaxy 2” will be about fathers. As Star-Lord continues on his journey to figure out who he is, he finds out that his father is actually Starhawk. Yondu, Mantis and Nebula will be making an appearance and joining their team as new “Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 : Plot
In the upcoming movie, we will be following the main protagonists Drax, Gamora, Star-Lord and Rocket as they continue their journey and adventure with a mysterious orb. Set two years after the first movie, the Guardians of the Galaxy travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their newfound family together, while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage. There is not a very substantial amount of information regarding the sequel as Marvel has been tight-lipped with the plot details to avoid any spoilers from coming out.

Tommy Flanagan and Don “Donny Arcade” Johnson also play members of the Ravagers. Sylvester Stallone has been cast as a Nova Corps member, while Stan Lee will be seen in his usual customary cameo appearance.

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy turned out to be an absolutely massive hit performing incredibly well at the box office and the sequel to the movie is slated to repeat the same. Guardian of the Galaxy Volume 2 is scheduled to be released on May 5, 2017, in 3D and IMAX.
