GATE 2017: the timehas come for all the candidates who appearedfor the GATE 2017. The result of theGraduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 examination is declared on its official website by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee on Monday (March 27). The examination was conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12 and the answers keys were released on February 27. Now the candidates can check their results by visiting the website and entering their enrolment id. Successful candidates can download the scorecard till May 5, 2017. As per the official website, GATE 2017 scorecard download will be enabled shortly.
GATEis conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT; GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/Ph.D. programs in IITs, IISc, and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.
GATE scores are also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organizations such as cabinet secretariat, and state and national public sector undertakings in India. GATE qualified candidates get paid for scholarships or assistantship, especially funded by the ministry of human resources development and by other ministries.
