Game of Thrones Season 7: One of the most awaited TV shows of 2017, Game of Thrones is currently shooting their seventh season. As always, rumours and leaks are spilling all over the internet. We couldn’t hold back our love for the show and made a speculation a few weeks back that two major characters are going to meet in Game of Thrones season 7, and turns out it’s true. Now a major news has emerged that 5 lead actors of the show are being paid up to one million for each episode.
In the current era, we have entered what could be said as the “Golden Age of Television,” as per IBTimes. Instead of books, movies or book, television, today has emerged to be the most entertaining media . It has prompted both makers and stars to bank heavily from that. So it hardly comes as a surprise that actors from the world’s most famous television show is being paid around a million for each episode.
As per reports, stars Peter Dinklage, Kit Harrington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke are now reportedly earning $1.1 million per episode. Which is more than what actors are making from Walking Dead. After earning close to $300,000 an episode for Seasons 5 and 6, its sort of expected that there will be a major pay bump for the lead actors in the next seasons.
As per iTechPost, Game of Thrones season 7 has become the seventh most watched show in the US. Back in 2002 “Friends” stars negotiated a deal that reached $1 million per episode that held a record of having the highest paid actors for a TV series.
As per High Noble Society report, Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln from “The Walking Dead” make $550,000 and $650,000 for the seventh and eighth season. Kiefer Sutherland makes $300,000 for “Designated Survivor,” and Dwayne Johnson makes $450,000 for “Ballers.” Emma Stone is reportedly set to make $350,000 for their upcoming Netflix project “Maniac,” while Robert De Niro gets $750,000 for every episode of an upcoming Amazon series while Jonah Hill.
