Samsung has introduced an enhanced Iris Scanner with its flagship model Galaxy Note 7. As per sources, this addition will improve the overall security of the Smartphone, as it will make much difficult for the hackers to spoof. The Galaxy Note 5 was already having fingerprint sensor, but with the Note 7 launch the South Korean company has indeed taken a leap of faith by introducing the all-new Iris Scanner. If you are a proud owner of a Galaxy Note 7 device, then at launch it will help you to lock while hiding apps and sensitive contents completely behind a fully secured a biometric scan. That’s when the Iris scanner will come into effect, as now in order to easily access your locked content you don’t need to adjust your grip to tap and make use of the fingerprint sensor, just a quick little scan of your eyes would do the work provided you are already looking at the scan. Now comes the best part, as per sources Samsung is gearing up to integrate its Iris Scanner with the Samsung Pass program. It is basically an exclusive kind of API which provides 3rd party application developers special permission to make good use of the hardware biometric sensors such as fingerprint sensor for content locking purpose. The company has announced that it will be integrating its Iris scanner with some of the official banking apps very soon. Now it will be interesting to wait and watch how the 3rd party developers integrate this scanner to enhance their present apps in the upcoming days.
